Join WAAC!
WAAC exists to create and further opportunities for artists within the state to share, sell, and connect with collectors through art fairs and exhibitions. We believe that the arts are a fundamental part to community growth and expression and work hard to expand access to creativity and the arts.
Why become a member?
Wisconsin Alliance of Artists and Craftspeople, Inc. (WAAC) strives to promote the rich fabric of Wisconsin's visual arts. Formed in 1980, WAAC is a statewide organization with approximately 400 members consisting of fine artists and craftspeople.

Annual Member Events
WAAC hosts two annual art fairs in Madison, Wisconsin exclusively for Wisconsin based exhibitors: the Art Fair Off the Square on the second weekend of July and the Winter Art Fair Off the Square on the second weekend of November.
WAAC also hosts an annual exhibit of members' work at the U.W. Hospital in Madison. This month-long February show is open to all current members, with no image submission or jurying required.
Support for Young People in the Arts
WAAC encourages young artists by providing funding for educational programs and incorporating children’s events into its art fairs. WAAC is passionate about supporting the Wisconsin Art Education Association (WAEA), which involves K-12 children statewide in the arts.
WAAC Words & Community Connection
WAAC members receive WAACWords, a newsletter featuring information on our art fairs and other WAAC news. WAAC hosts workshops for members on marketing, legal issues, and other art-related topics during our Annual Membership Meeting each March or April.
