Art Fair Talk: An Artists’ Forum
Has this happened to you? You have a free moment at an art fair, begin discussing
useful information with your neighbor, and a customer draws you away from the
conversation. While you’re happy to make the sale, it would be nice to
learn more from your colleague. Here’s your chance. Take part in this
informal artist’s forum, discuss good and bad shows, tips on selling,
how to display, and more.
Have you been ZAPPed yet?
James Gill, WHA-TV and freelance photographer, will, once again, speak about the requirements and options an artist might consider when purchasing a digital camera. Then Clarence Cameron, WAAC Trailblazer, will show the fundamentals of preparing and uploading images, maneuvering the ZAPPLICATION Web site, and the application process.
ZAPP™ is a new, one-stop, universal online application system that allows artists to apply to their choice of art and craft fairs. This Web-based system, in turn, enables the staff of art and craft shows to more efficiently manage their application, administrative, and jury processes online.
Traditional slides and carousels are replaced by digital equipment for the jury process. Are you ready for this new technology?
